What are you thinking about home?
Home is not about the building that you’re living. For me, Home means
Comfortable. A home is a feeling. Feeling comport and feeling love.
You can make
home is everywhere wherever you’re in the place that you wander. In your home
town, you can easily feel home. You still have your family near you that loving
you so much. Everyday you can share your time, your stories, or anything with
your family, friends or kinda chum. But, If you are in other city which no body
you know before and you’re not with your family or friends. At first, you should build the “home” again
from the first step that you were built in.
Taking the first step sometimes is the hardest thing to do. But the important thing that you should do is
action. When you’re in other city may be you feel like stranger, but you should
remember this clearly that your journey till you can touch down in that city
kinda adventure, guys! This is your life, the story of your life is made by
you, So does the home.

You can make
your zone or room is like yours in your home town. Make it so comfortable, or
something that you feel you’re in your zone. Fulfill your necessary completely
like you’re in home. Make it the smell nice! The Aroma therapy not only make
you feel comfort but also boost your mood. At least you feel there’s no big
difference between you in your home town.
After that, the
most important thing is making friends. Friends is like your family when you’re
far from home. May be joining the new community in that city can help you to
find friends that having the same passion with you. You can search this kind
community via internet (search by search engine). For example, If you’re
joining being a volunteer make you feel
grateful with your condition.
You should
remember that if you live in big city, you’ll find people that not really
friendly like in small city (especially in Indonesia). Living in big city that
having big chance to be stressed out, because of the traffic jam, multi
culture, so much people live with variety background in that city. So you can’t
think that the character of every city is the same. You should receive every
particular the differences, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Our country is containing
from most of the differences namely religion, habit, tradition, tribe, etc. Let
the heart controls the situation, not conversely.
Walk the next
door and meet the neighbor! Getting familiar with surrounding area and meeting
with some of neighbor is also helping you to feel like home. Neighbor is not
only 3 persons where is from your house but 40 houses in front of, behind, left
and right (have you ever listen the means of neighbor when you’re learning
basic Islamic in your elementary school? 😂)
Keep in touch
with the love One, Don’t forget to call or may be send message to the person
that you love (Parents, Family or Chum) everyday. Share and telling story not
only when you’re near with them. Technology nowadays can draw closer which is
far from you. Gratitude for technology!!
Dare to explore
the city alone! If you seldom go out alone, you must try this when you’re far
from “home”. You never feel that it will kinda interesting and exciting. You
can feel get lost and sometimes you can find what’s the real your aim in life.
Make food home
made, You don’t have to buy instant food like pizza, burger, or any junk foods.
Even if you just cook with limited tools for cooking, but it’s worth it.
Actually, home
is in heart, you can feel home everywhere. As foreigner in the world, the real
home for us being a human is in hereafter. Basicly , we for sure are going back
to our Creator , Allah SWT. Anything
that happen to us is allowed by God, never feel you’re alone. Be your house as
home. The condition is neutral, we absolutely can control the condition. If you
want your home is really being “home”, means you’re alive.
